Audrey in Rome
Only a few days are left until the inauguration in Rome of the exhibit dedicated to Audrey Hepburn and the years she lived in Rome. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the premiere of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, concurring with the Rome International Film Festival, from 26th October to 4th December the Museo dell’Ara Pacis will render homage to this icon of our time with unpublished photos, videos, and personal objects that in some way represent the actress’ 3 lives in the eternal city: as an actress, as a mother, and as a UNICEF collaborator.
So Audrey in Rome covers the 25 years that the actress spent in her Rome, a city which is not only related to her career as an actress (Roman Holiday, War and Peace and The Nun’s Story), but which is also the place where she married for the second time and had her second child, Luca Dotti, who is one of the curators of the exhibit.
Behind this halo of glamour, Audrey spent the last years of her life doing humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, so a part of the funds raised by the entrance fees will go to the Italian mission in Chad that is fighting against child malnutrition… yet another reason not to miss the exhibit.
