Pepe Jeans opens its first store in Turin with members of the Infiniti Red Bull Racing team

With the Union Jack strategically placed between brick walls, and surrounded by a world of denim and British inspiration, Pepe Jeans opened its first store in Turin on 4 September. To celebrate our first opening in the famous Italian city in style, we welcomed our guests with a cocktail in the new 100 m2 space in the centre of the city.

The modern urban style, faithful to Pepe’s British roots, was-ever present during the event.  But that wasn’t the only thing that made this opening party so special. Turin’s Via Lagrange was alive with F1™ and top celebrities from the racing world.  The special guest of the night was undoubtedly Infiniti Red Bull Racing. We were truly honoured to have Christian Horner with us, the team’s manger, and David Coulthard, the former F1™ driver and ambassador of Infiniti Red Bull Racing, who turned up in a real racing car, something we usually only see whizzing around Grand Prix tracks. What a surprise! The chance to see it up close was a unique experience, not only for F1™ fans but for everyone else too.

“Love at first sight”, a film by Pepe Jeans London

When Industry met London for the first time it was just your typical day when nothing much happens. He settled into his usual corner, picked up his paintbrush and set to work. Suddenly his attention was diverted to the perfect silhouette of a sandal. They weren’t just any ordinary type of sandal though, but the epitome of elegance itself, dressed in a flattering print of stars, and so high that they almost reached them: it was love at first sight for London.

But, as in all these story tales, he didn’t know who she was and she was unaware of the feelings she had awoken in him. So the days went by and Industry continued to take up position in the same corner, hoping she would appear at any moment. He didn’t know her name but that first impression had been enough to inspire a new portrait.

When it looked like it would be a story without an ending, London decided to make a move and turned it around 360 degrees. Can you guess how their love story ends? Here’s a clue: don’t be blinded by the flashes – follow them, because they too have a lot to say.

Pepe Jeans at Bread & Butter 2013

Pepe Jeans London brought to Berlin a dramatic new stand concept showing the most sophisticated denim technology at international fashion show Bread & Butter. The Denim Laundry provided visitors with a sneak peak into the world of denim customisation reminding Pepe Jeans’ early days when jeans were hand-customised from a stall on the epic London’s Portobello Road.

Pepe Jeans London also offered all the guests the opportunity to win one of the 1973 pairs of men’s and women’s jeans that the Denim-led young fashion brand  was giving away to celebrate its 40th anniversary. All of the invited friends had also the opportunity to add onto their own jeans some Swarovski Elements, for a premium fashion-forward look, and finishing its customisation with a Union Flag application on the back pocket.

Veronica Falls for Pepe Jeans – Singular Music Festival

The second concert of the Singular Music Festival took place last Friday, with the British band Veronica Falls as guest artists. We loved the Paris concert, and we absolutely adored the London one!

Pepe Jeans chose the River Seine as the setting for the Paris concert and on this occasion the venue of choice was the Vinyl Factory in Soho, the perfect place for bringing fashion and music lovers together.

The first guests started to arrive at the Vinyl Factory around 7.30pm; among them journalists, bloggers, and the lucky winners of the competition that Pepe Jeans ran on its Facebook page. And, like the good fashionistas they are, none of them wanted to miss the photo call; look look

The indie band made everyone feel at home, chatting and joking with the audience. At one point during the night, they even played an acoustic song with some of the lucky concert goers! These guys don’t put their guitars down even during the breaks! Thanks, guys!

You can keep track of them on Facebook, Twitter and My Space.

A short, short story.
